Common questions

What's the difference between SBA 504 and 7(a) for real estate?+

504 splits the loan between a bank and a development company and often has a fixed rate. 7(a) is more flexible and can bundle the property with a business purchase.

Can I buy a property I'll partly lease out?+

Yes, within limits. SBA programs require your business to occupy at least 51% of an existing building.

Can I buy the business and the building together?+

Often, yes. A 7(a) loan can cover both in one transaction.
